Renegade LARP
is a
20 year High Fantasy LARP Campaign in the World of Ralsted.

RenegadeLARP.com has been designed to enable Players to learn about the
World of Ralsted, how to create a Player Character and discover the
Geopolitical Campaign

Renegade LARP is designed to enable Players to run their own games as frequently as they wish to. Out of Character (OOC), regardless of real world geographical location, any Player can Host a “Invitation Only” Renegade LARP Game; any time they want; inviting only who they want to and attending only the events that they want to. Regardless of which events that a Player attends; or which Game Provider Licensees (GPL) they favour; Player Characters (PC) that are created, their ongoing stories, their skill progression and their IC loot will remain compatible with all other Renegade LARP Games.

The consequences of IC threat, IC failure and IC Betrayal in the Renegade LARP Campaign may often result in Character IC Permanent Death; or Permadeath; involving the loss of Skill Progression, loss of IC Loot and the end of that Character's Story. There is no OOC safety net in the Renegade LARP Campaign; such as respawns. However, Players can take OOC and IC Pride in simple survival of their PC during their Adventures and earn a OOC reputation for PC survival from other Players.

Renegade LARP make it intentionally hard for individuals Player Characters to survive alone and recommend that Players form a stereotypical Adventuring Party of five PC of mixed skills to provide mutual support and protection. Renegade LARP Adventures are designed with sufficient PvE challenges for 5 Player Characters but adventures can be run with a minimum number of three participants; with two NPC and one PC; such as solo Reconnaissance missions. While there will be no reduction in the IC difficulty, those Player Characters survive can claim “The Greater Share of Honour”; as Henry would say.

While the Renegade LARP Campaign is designed to entertain small groups of players, when larger Renegade LARP events are attended, these small Adventuring Parties; with their own IC and OOC organisation, structure and culture of reciprocation may choose to ally together into IC factions with other Adventuring Parties; making up a stronger unit than a mass of individual players with no experience in cooperation with one another.

In addition to Renegade LARP, there is a thriving Renegade Geopolitical Game; open to all PC; that can enable even Players who cannot regularly attend Renegade LARP events or Renegade Freeform to remain involved in the Renegade Campaign by assigning their PC to a Geopolitical Move.

Renegade LARP FAQ Slide # 2

Q. What is Pride?
A. In relation to Renegade LARP, there are many ways in which an individual can take Pride; such as assisting in the set up and pack up of an Event, being part of a GPL team that gave an hour of intense gameplay for other Players, mediating in an OOC discussion that results in cooperation, etc.

Q. What is Character Survival?
A. Renegade LARP involves Players creating a Character, Adventuring on missions and then being disembowelled by an angry Bear; or making a few allies and a few enemies and then being knifed for the Magic Sword you were bragging about finding when your allies weren’t around; or being lead scout on an Adventure and stepping on a lethal trap that impales you onto poisoned spikes. If none of these things occurs to your character, this is called Character Survival.

Q. What is IC Threat?
A. IC Threat in the Renegade LARP Campaign ranges from threats to the survival of a Player Character through to threats to allies or factions or IC strategic and tactical locations.
